PETER BONE MP TO MEET WITH CONSTITUENTS AFFECTED BY SARGENTS REDUNDANCIES

Peter Bone, Member of Parliament for Wellingborough and Rushden will meet with constituents who have been made redundant by Rushden company Alfred Sargent and Sons Ltd this Friday (23 January 2009) at 11.30am in his office 21 High Street, Wellingborough.

Peter Bone says: ‘There have been around 40 redundancies made at Alfred Sargent and Sons Ltd affecting many of my constituents. It is a very difficult time at the minute and I am doing all I can to provide help. 

‘I have been in contact with several Government agencies including JobCentre Plus and the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform. I have also raised the matter on the floor of the House of Commons.

‘I am holding this meeting to update all those who have been affected.’
