Second Rushden By-Election Victory

Despite the poor polling of Conservatives nationally, Rushden Conservatives held off opposition from four other parties to win by-elections on 23 March 2023 to keep the Rushden South (Unitary) seat and Rushden Bates (Town Council) seat in Conservative hands. Our successful candidates, Melanie Coleman for Rushden South (NNC) ward and King Lawal for Rushden Bates (RTC) ward, each took over 50% of the vote. Their steadfast determination together with support from neighbouring areas secured victory for the Conservative party. We now have two excellent...

A letter to Constituents from MP Peter Bone

Dear Constituent, Thank you for contacting me with your very important concerns regarding the allegations of parties held at Downing Street and the Cabinet Office during lockdown. One of my key roles as your representative in Parliament is to listen to my constituents and campaign on your behalf – in fact, this is the whole philosophy behind my “Listening to Wellingborough and Rushden” campaign. Thank you for contacting me on this matter. Many people shared with me their own deeply personal experiences from the last two years, and I am thankful to everyone who took the time to express their...
