Biography Andy Mercer

I have lived in Rushden for over 40 years. I have 4 grown-up children and run my own software company. I have served on both East Northants Council and the County Council for many years, and I led East Northants Council from 2005 until 2010. I was a key figure in the Rushden Lakes battle, writing nearly 100 letters and reports in support of the scheme. I am now campaigning for the new road into the Lakes. If elected, I will campaign to keep free car parking in Rushden and to continue the regeneration of the town. I have a track record of listening to residents and delivering on their priorities.
