Bert Jackson moved with his late wife Janice to Higham in 1971. He was elected to Higham Town Council in 2007 representing the Chichele ward. Since then he has worked on the Neighbourhood Plan, the Riverside Park, and was part of the working party that have just had the Town Charters and Bylaws restored.

He also worked on extending the Greenway phase 1 and is now involved in the next stage up to Bury Close, it is his wish to improve this all the way up to Kimbolton Road.

He is a member of the towns tourism team and also the Hachenburg twinning group. He is very keen on keeping the Heritage of Higham while at the same time a good place to live and work with more parking, better roads and footpaths.

In 2019 he was elected to represent Chichele Ward on the East Northants Council which has now been replaced by the new North Northants Unitary Council for which he is now seeking election, He hopes that you will vote for him so that he may continue to work on behalf of the people of Higham Ferrers and  District.
