Graham Lawman

Graham, is a proven, committed Community Champion with great experience, having served on the Borough Council since April 2006 and the County Council since May 2009, seeking to actively represent all residents, which he is determined to continue.

Until closure, he was Chairman of the County Council, having been Chairman of Pensions – overseeing a £2.4billion fund – an Assistant Cabinet member, Vice-Chairman, Development Control and on Environment & Highways, Fire & Rescue and Finance Scrutiny Committees. His empowering money has funded several town projects.

At the Borough, as well as Mayor, he was Chairman of the Services, Development and Audit Committees. At the forefront of the campaign against over-development, – I before E-Infrastructure before Expansion, heavily involved in the fight against wheelie-bin fires, Graham keenly supports local determination through backing residents’ associations and achieving regeneration.

Graham is heavily involved in the community, being Board Chairman and volunteer at the Wellibus, Governor of KGH, Director of Hatton Academy Trust – an Outstanding School – and Croyland Primary, Trustee of Victoria Centre & Sea Cadets, board member of the Hemmingwell Community & Skills Centre CIO.

Graham is married to Lora, another Borough Councillor and former Mayor. They live in Gleneagles and have two children. He played cricket for Wellingborough Town, but, now umpires in and is secretary of Northants Cricket League and supports the Doughboys.
