Brian has been honoured to represent Croyland Ward on the Borough Council of Wellingborough since 2015 and is very pleased to have the opportunity to continue to look after Croyland residents and to adopt new residents in Swanspool.
He has been happy to help residents with their problems and to ensure that their wider concerns are represented. For example, his planning experience has enabled him to speak for them at planning meetings and give evidence at planning appeals. He also ensured that as far as possible the Local Plan addresses their concerns.
Brian is a business and systems analyst and wishes to use his business skills to help shape the new unitary council so that it will deliver for residents. He has already discussed potential issues and solutions with the analysts who are designing the new authorities and his input were well received.
Passionate about improving the town centre Brian is on the borough’s Town Centre subcommittee. He is impatient to see the planned improvements delivered and firmly believes that maintaining free parking is essential for the town centre’s survival.
Brian is very environmentally conscious and is a member of the borough council’s Climate Change Working Group. He is a long term volunteer for the Campaign to Protect Rural England and has been pleased to join most of the Eco Group’s litter picks. He is also a director of Shire Community Services who, among other things, operate Wellibus
