It is with great sadness that we have to report that our Voluntary Agent, David Jenney, passed away on 26th December 2022.
David was a stalwart member of the Wellingborough Conservative Association, who led the way at elections and inspired others to follow.
David had been a member of Rushden Town Council since 2007 and chaired several committees. He was also Town Mayor for Rushden in 2013/2014 and performed this role with great enthusiasm and dignity.
David was highly respected within the Town Council and the local community of Rushden and he brought his vast experience in the construction industry to help the town and the council.
David also served as a valued member of East Northamptonshire Council from 2007 to its dissolution in 2021 and was its Deputy Leader for several years.
David was an influential part of the steering group leading up to the formation of the North Northamptonshire Council in April 2021.
David was also until his untimely death, Assistant Cabinet member on North Northamptonshire Council. and a valued member of the Planning Policy Committee.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Barbara and his family at this most sad and difficult time.
