Biography Gill Mercer

I have lived in Rushden for over 40 years and been on Rushden Town Council since its creation. I have helped run Party in the Park and as Rushden’s Mayor initiated Proms in the Park. I was also on East Northants Council and Northamptonshire County Council and have served as Chairman of the Police, Fire & Crime Panel. I was heavily involved in the campaign for Rushden Lakes and instrumental in getting the Irthlingborough Road bridge rebuilt. If elected, I will campaign to make sure that Rushden Lakes continues to bring prosperity and jobs to Rushden and that we keep free car parking locally, as well as keep council tax low.
